Helmet Design
Project Overview
While working with Brandsjar, I got the opportunity to design a special helmet for Swiggy’s experienced riders. Something that would feel stylish, personal, and worth wearing with pride. Swiggy wanted the helmet to reflect all their key verticals including Food Delivery, Instamart, and Genie, without making it look overly branded or busy. I created a clean line-art system featuring food, grocery, and daily-use elements wrapped subtly around the helmet, with a split logo treatment: the Swiggy icon on the sides and the typography placed boldly at the back. The Swiggy team especially loved the back typography, which later inspired several other brand collaterals.
Challenge
The challenge was to make a branded helmet that riders would genuinely enjoy wearing. It had to showcase multiple Swiggy verticals, stay clean and wearable, and still feel premium. Achieving this balance without letting the design look heavy or cluttered required a very intentional visual approach.
Results
The final helmet design delivered exactly what Swiggy hoped for a stylish, modern piece that riders felt proud to use. The clean illustration style and the split-logo approach gave Swiggy a fresh visual angle, and the typography on the back became a standout feature that the brand later adapted into various other materials. The project strengthened Swiggy’s rider-facing identity while introducing a distinct design language rooted in simplicity and pride.
